Credit Report Guide

The Saudi Credit Bureau ( SIMAH) is committed to protecting the rights of all consumers, realizing their direct interests and spreading the credit culture in Saudi market . SIMAH pays special attention to the health, accuracy and comprehensiveness of credit information collected from all credit providers in the banking sector, financial institutions, telecommunication entities , government agencies and all other related firms.

SIMAH takes into account preserving consumers' rights by protecting their credit data , transforming them into information systems to ensure the confidentiality of their sharing as stipulated in the Credit information Law and its Implementing Regulations. Credit information are then provided to members in the form of credit reports designed according to the best international standards and specifications that meet the requirements for the exchange of credit information.

Pursuant to its strategic objective of disseminating credit culture in order to promote the outcomes of financial inclusion , preserve consumer's rights, apply KYC Principles and contribute to the enrichment financial contents , SIMAH presents this comprehensive easy read Credit Report Guide ( CRG) .

The CRG aims at helping consumers understand their credit reports and ensure their accuracy, validity and confidentiality, whether current or historical credit instruments.

Credit report contains 14 Sections:

This section contains personal information, which was entered to SIMAH system by the consumer when he/she registered in SIMAH services or when a member enquired on consumer credit report. The consumer can update any information by contacting SIMAH directly. This section contains the following:

  • Consumer Name: Full name.
  • Gender: Male or Female.
  • Marital Status: Single- divorced- Married- Widower/ Widow.
  • ID Number: National ID/ Iqama.
  • ID Expiry Date: Expiry date of ID or Iqama.
  • Issuing Authority: City of issuing the consumer ID.
  • Nationality: Consumer’s nationality.
  • Date of Birth: Consumer’s date of birth.
  • Mobile Number: Consumer’s mobile number.
  • Employment Sector: Employment type of sector (government or private).
  • Employer Name: Name of employer
  • Occupation: The job title of consumer
  • Salary: Salary amount.
  • Residency: City of consumer accommodation.
  • Last Reported: Date of loading consumer personal information.

This section provides consumer with a summary of the most important information in his/her credit report.

  • First Issue Date: Issue date of first credit product (Loan, Telecom service, Credit Card).
  • Active Credit Product: Number of active credit products (the contract between consumer and credit provider is still valid).
  • Total Limits: Total amount of credit product (value of the active credit products or the credit limit of telecom service) such as loan, telecom services, credit card…etc.
  • Total Liabilities: Total obligations of credit products that consumer is committed to pay to credit provider.
  • Total Guaranteed Limits: Total amount of credit products guaranteed by the consumer for another party (the value of the guaranteed credit products).
  • Total Guaranteed Liabilities: Total obligations of credit products guaranteed by the consumer for another party.
  • Default Product: Number of default products that the consumer fails to pay within 180 days (6 months).
  • Total Default: Total amount of default products, that the consumer fails to pay within 180 days (6 months).
  • Outstanding Default: The remaining amount of default products value that has not been paid.

This section gives the consumer summary information on active credit product, where the contract between consumer and credit provider is still valid.

  • Product Type: Credit product Type or service (Loan, Telecom Service, Credit Card…etc).
  • Creditor: Credit provider name.
  • Account Number: Number of credit product account or the contract number according to credit provider.
  • Installment Amount: The amount of installment that is agreed upon between consumer and credit provider or invoice amount (monthly, quarterly, or yearly).
  • Credit Limit: Total amount of credit product value that is granted to the consumer by the credit provider.
  • Outstanding Balance: Remaining amount of credit product obligations (Credit Card, Loan, Telecom invoice).
  • Last Reported: Date of loading the information in this section.
  • Payment Status: Status of the last payment (Current or Overdue).

This section gives the consumer information on default credit product, where the contract between consumer and credit provider is still valid, however the consumer fails to pay within 180 days (6 months).

  • Product Type: Credit product Type or service (Loan, Telecom Service, Credit Card…etc).
  • Creditor: Credit provider name.
  • Account Number: Number of credit product account according to credit provider or contract number.
  • Date Reported: Date of loading this product as a default product (When consumer fails to pay within 180 days (6 months).
  • Total Default Amount: Total amount of the default product.
  • Outstanding Default: Remaining amount of the default product obligations (Credit Card, Loan, Telecom invoice).
  • Default Status: Status of the default payment (Fully Paid, Not paid, Partially Paid, or Negotiated Settlement).
  • Settlement Date: Date of settlement or the date of default amount payment.

This section gives the consumer summary information on guaranteed default product, that is guaranteed by the consumer for another party, who fails to pay within 180 days (6 months).

  • Product Type: Credit product Type or service (Loan, Telecom Service, Credit Card…etc).
  • Creditor: Credit provider name.
  • Account Number: Number of credit product account according to credit provider or contract number.
  • Date Reported: Date of loading this product as a default product (when consumer fails to pay within 180 days (6 months).
  • Total Default Amount: Total amount of the default product.
  • Outstanding Default: Remaining amount of the default product obligations (Credit Card, Loan, Telecom invoice).
  • Default Status: Status of the default payment (Fully Paid, Not paid, Partially Paid, or Negotiated Settlement).
  • Settlement Date: The date of settlement or the date of default amount payment.

This section includes information on bouncing cheques that has been registered by bank against the consumer

  • Check Bounce Reason: Cause of registering the cheque as a bounced.
  • Bank: Bank name that registered the cheque as bouncing cheque.
  • Cheque Number: Account number or cheque number according to the bank.
  • Date Reported: Date of loading cheque information by the bank.
  • Cheque Amount: Total amount of cheque.
  • Outstanding Balance: Due amount of cheque that has not been paid.
  • Cheque Status: Payment status of the cheque amount (Registered/ fully paid).
  • Settlement Date: Date of settlement or payment due date of cheque amount.

This section give detailed information on all credit products that has been granted to the consume.

  • Account Number: Number of credit product account according to the credit provider or number of the contract between the consumer and credit provider.
  • Date of Issuance: Date of the contract between the consumer and credit provider.
  • Credit Limit: Total amount of credit product value.
  • Installment Number: Number of installments if the product is scheduled in monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.
  • Installment Amount: Total amount of installment.
  • Payment Frequency: Type of payment (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly…etc).
  • Type of Guarantee: Type of guarantee if there (Cash, Guarantor, Mortgage).
  • Expiry Date: Expecting Date of closing the agreement between the consumer and credit provider based on the contract.
  • Outstanding Balance: Remaining amount of credit product obligations (Credit Card, Loan, Telecom invoice).
  • Past Due Balance: Last due amount.
  • Last Amount Paid: Last amount that has been paid.
  • Last Payment Date: Date of last payment.
  • Next Due Date: Upcoming of due date payment.
  • As Of Date: Date of loading information in this section.
  • Salary Assignment:Is the credit product was granted based on the salary or not.
  • Closed Date: Date of closing contract between consumer and credit provider.
  • Enquiry Date: Date credit provider inquired on consumer’s credit report.
  • Enquirer: Credit provider name.
  • Enquiry Reference: Enquiry reference number.
  • Product Type: Product type that the consumer requested.
  • Amount Applied For: Total amount of credit product value.
  • Execution Date: Date of issuing enforcement judgment from the court.
  • Resolution Number: Resolution Number according to the court.
  • City: Where the court is located.
  • Court Name: Name of court.
  • Legal Case Number: Reference number of the information according to the court.
  • Date Loaded: Date of loading the information by the court.
  • Claimed Amount: Total amount that court has issued against the consumer.
  • Outstanding Balance: Remaining amount of the claimed amount that has not been paid.
  • Status: Payment status (Executed/ Not Executed).
  • Settlement Date: Date of settlement or payment due date of claimed amount.
  • Date loaded: Date of loading the Narrative by SIMAH member (Credit provider).
  • Narrative Type: Type of Narrative (General, Update).
  • Reported by: Member who loaded the Narrative.
  • Narrative Text: Narrative text as provided by member.
  • Date Loaded: Date of loading the Narrative by consumer.
  • Narrative Type: Type of Narrative (General, Personal Narrative).
  • Narrative Text: Narrative text as provided by consumer.
  • Address Type: Home/ Postal.
  • First Address/ Second Address: If consumer has more than one address.
  • P. O. Box: No. of postal address.
  • City: City of consumer accommodation.
  • Postal Code: Code number of postal.
  • Country: Country of consumer accommodation.
  • Last Reported: Date of loading address information.
  • Phone Type: Home/Mobile/Office.
  • Country Code: Code number of the country where the consumer lives.
  • Area Code: Code of phone or mobile number (011/012/054).
  • Phone Number: consumer phone number.
  • Extension: Extension of phone number.
  • Sector: Employment type of sector (Government or Private).
  • Employer: Name of employment.
  • Occupation: Job Title.
  • Salary: Salary as loaded by credit provider.
  • Employment Hiring Date: Date of joining.
  • Employment End Date: Contract termination date.
  • Last Reported: Date of loading occupation information.
